Salyut 6

was the first second generation Soviet space station

it was very similar to Salyut 4

but included major improvements

including the addition of an aft docking port

 

 

this made it possible for the station to be supplied 

by the automated  Progress ferry

and also the docking of  TKS craft

with Cosmos appellations
